Based in Utah, USA, speaker manufacturer, Status Acoustics, have unveiled their latest offering: the 8T speaker.
Over ten years in the making, the unusual design of the 8T speaker is to eliminate cabinet resonance by separating the mid and treble from the bass. The former features four 6.5-inch midrange drivers and a single 1-inch tweeter vertically aligned, whilst the bass section features three 10-inch subwoofers in triangular formation.
Both sections are connect by a bracket that also conceals the cabling between the two. 8Ts will starting shipping out in the Spring and will be available in 30 different wood-grain veneers, ensuring that they will compliment your existing home cinema/music set up, despite their unusual appearance.
