Samsung Launches New SUHD TV Range

Samsung SUHD TVSamsung has announced that it will be debuting its new series of SUHD TVs in South Korea this month. Initially unveiled during last month’s CES 2015, the SUHD range is the first batch of televisions to be powered by the Tizen open source operating system, complete with a Smart TV dashboard. Using eco-friendly nano-crystal technology, the SUHD range is purported to be the brightest and most energy efficient screen currently on the market.

These 4K sets sport a curved form-factor and will be available in four sizes — 55-inches, 65-inches, 78-inches, and 88-inches — with starting prices ranging from $5,000 to $7,250. Each display will also feature quantum-dot technology for improved colour, achieved via Samsung’s unique re-mastering engine.

There’s no word yet as to when these displays will be available in the UK and Europe, or their retail prices for these territories.
