Nokia Announces First Tablet Device

Nokia Lumia 2520Phone manufacturer Nokia has made its first foray into the increasingly competitive tablet device market with the Lumia 2520.

Powered by a 2.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, the Lumia 2520 comes with 2GB of RAM as standard and boasts an 8000 mAh battery for increased battery life. It also has 32GB of storage as well as MicroSD support for an additional 32GB. The 2520 also sports a 6.7MP rear camera with ZEISS optics and a 2MP front camera.

The Lumia 2520’s operating system is Windows RT 8.1 and comes pre-packaged with a variety of exclusive software programs including Nokia Storyteller, Nokia Video Director, and Nokia Music. It also comes with Microsoft Office and Outlook. To make typing a much easier task, Nokia has also produced a compatible Power Keyboard accessory (sold separately).

The Lumia 2520 is set to arrive in the UK, among other international markets, during Q4 of 2013. The price has been set at USD 495, which will fluctuate from territory to territory.
