Klipsch Announce New ‘Reference Series’ Speakers

9660-klipschrb10systemAmerican loudspeaker company Klipsch has announced a new ‘Reference Series’ of entry-level speakers aiming to deliver professional audio quality to a wide market at varying price points.

The first product, the R-10B Soundbar, was announced last week. Featuring two 3/4-inch horn-loaded textile dome tweeters and two 3-inch polypropylene woofers, the R-10B uses the company’s Tractrix technology to increase dispersion and reduce distortion. The bar is paired with a wireless 8-inch subwoofer and also offers Dolby Digital decoding as well as Bluetooth and aptX support. The suggested U.S. retail price is currently set at $600.

This was followed by a second announcement detailing an initial collection of speakers for full surround sound. These include: the R-28F and R-26F floor-standing units (set at $698 and $898 per pair respectively); R-15M and R-14M monitors ($199 and $294 per pair); the R-14S surround ($279 per pair); the R-25C central channel ($249); and, finally, the R-10SW and R-12SW subwoofers ($349 and $449 each). All the speakers in this range feature Linear Travel Suspension aluminium tweeters and come in a brushed black polymer finish.
