Hisense Unveil Budget 4K Television Set

Hisense XT880Chinese manufacturer, Hisense, has just brought a budget 4K UHD flatscreen to the U.S. market. Hisense’s XT880   boasts a 55-inch screen and costs a rather paltry $2,000, which is over half the price of the recently reduced sets by competing companies Sony, Samsung and LG.

Although the recently announced SE55UY04 budget 4K set by Seiki is even cheaper (a 55-inch screen for only $1,500!), Hisense’s model boasts more features such as Smart TV, that facilitates built in apps for the likes of Netflix (who are set to make waves of their own in the 4K market next year), Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, Pandora, Picasa, and AccuWeather.

The screen itself sports an LCD backlight and a contrast ratio of 4,000:1. The XT880 also includes HDMI inputs, USB ports for digital media and built-in Wi-Fi.
